"You have heard...But I tell you..."

This is my time in the Occupied West Bank this summer. It's my medium of processing and recording what I am witnessing and observing. I am realizing that there is a lot that I have heard and been taught which does not line up with the reality I am experiencing. My internet access is sporadic at best, but I'll try be faithful and pray you will be too. The family came home from a wedding to find their house destroyed. In the left corner you can see the remains of another bulldozed home. To the right (behind the home) there are remains of another bulldozed home. Behind where I was standing, 4 more homes lay destroyed: 7 homes in total. These homes were destroyed for the building of the Wall. But then, after they were destroyed, Israel announced a change in the Wall’s trajectory. The Wall would no longer be taking this path, and some other houses nearby were now recently bulldozed as well. As it is illegal to construct without the proper permits and permission, only attainable from Israel, these houses will not be rebuilt.
